The Contra Costa County Honor Jazz Band is where our region’s top student musicians perform together. This month-long workshop provides a wonderful opportunity to collaborate, learn, play, & perform with other talented musicians in our community.
The Contra Costa Honor Band is made possible by grants from the Community Foundation of Lafayette and from the Generations in Jazz Foundation.

Thank you for participating this year!
- Audition submission deadline: February 1st, 2024 @ 5PM
- Audio file only submission & please do not speak on the recording
- Each musician must submit an audition form & audio recording (linked below)
- Listen to the recording before submitting- ensure musicians put the best foot forward
- Trumpets: Those interested in lead trumpet– submit recordings for trumpet & lead to be considered
- Saxophones: Be sure to answer the question on your doubling capabilities
- Pianists: Acoustic pianos only. No electrical keyboards.
